When we first saw the comment of a certain Rebekah on my previous post about Vittorio, we disregarded it as another nasty comment that we got use to receiving from other imbeciles and know-it-alls.
However, perhaps noticing that she didn't catch any attention, she left another comment apparently to drive her so called point (less). And boy did she catch all of our attention this time.
So let's play detective.
For the sake of argument, let's follow Rebekah's instructions:
1. Open a picture in Photoshop
2. Click on the Filter tab (it's at the top, as she specified)
3. Click on the Artistic option
4. Click Cutout
5. A new window will pop up. Ensure to take the # of levels to 8 and the edge simplicity to 0.
...hhhmmm...
Uhm, Rebekah dear, since you have got the answers and explanations for everything, would you kindly (in a form of another comment perhaps) enlighten us on why the images we got by carefully following your instructions don't seem to measure up to what Vittorio provided us?
click on the images to enlarge:
BURBERRY CARRY ALLS
BVLGARI ROSE RING
HERMES DIAMOND BIRKIN
NOTE:
PUTTING THE PHOTOSHOP'ed IMAGE ON TOP OF THE ORIGINAL AND FADING IT TO A CERTAIN TRANSPARENCY LEVEL WON'T GIVE YOU THE SAME RESULT AS THAT OF VITTORIO.
Leaving constructive criticisms and comments are always welcome. After all this is a free world. But then again, when it reaches a point where the integrity of our posts and our characters as well gets questioned, we are left with no other option but to defend ourselves.
And before you click on that comment button to post another hate message, why not just come up with better images (we suggest that you actually do comparative tests on it though) and show us that there is more to you other than your big and dirty mouth.
But until then, we suggest that you just keep your unintelligent nastiness to yourself.
Woo! Go Noelle!
ReplyDeleteWheres Isabella been?
Way to show them Noelle!
ReplyDeleteI've made some pictures and it's 'uber easy... people shouldn't get this much attention for this, it's simple. Just try.
ReplyDeleteM!KA
Ha! You showed her! :)
ReplyDeletelol.
ReplyDeletelol.
lol.
Why don't you try using Posterize and setting it at a lower opacity over the filtered image?
Or median?
Or dust & scratches?
Or any filter that reproduces the effect in a few steps?
I'm simply amazed that you guys think Mr. Vittorio is God's gift to Photoshop.
"
This Stardoll looking illustration is more than enough. Details so crisp you can actually touch it! It certainly looks like a high def version of Stardoll's graphics!"
Check it: http://i467.photobucket.com/albums/rr36/noellealexandriapage/LVP2.jpg
See how the LV Monogram pattern fades out? Someone who actually has skill and takes the time to get every detail right (how can you honestly think this is so detailed when half of it fades away?) That wouldn't happen if Vittorio had taken the 45 minutes (And this is where you prove me right: "Not for the faint of heart and the short tempered as they say.") to actually vexel in the detail.
Again, you wouldn't be dumbfounded when you got imperfect results if you had the slightest knowledge of Photoshop.
Which again, brings me to where you get YOUR images. Where do you get yours?
And if you want to disprove me so badly, why don't you ask sweet Vittorio for how he does his images?
Dodence_bt actually uses the pen tool to recreate every color in the image. Ask him if you want real skill.
Vittorio is skilled too, sure--at using cheap filters and effects.
Say what you want poor little girl but you're just embarrassing yourself with every word you spill out.
ReplyDeleteCulture some pride & read this carefully:
TALENT IS INATE
As we said in plain BASIC english, we-do-not-use-photoshop.
How hard is that to understand?
Any 1st grader would've. But you, Rebekah?
Tsk. Tsk. Tsk.
Okay. For the SECOND TIME, make your own blog & create your own uhm. .. . err. .. . What talent did you say you have?
Anyway, continue what you're doing, do whatever any R-TARD can do. Be so miserable about yourself & just bash on somebody else's great works THAT you obviously CAN NOT DO & BE INSECURE OF ALL YOUR LITTLE BLOGGER COMMENTS EXISTENCE.
*sigh*
And why are you still at our blog?
Shouldn't you be doing with your homework? Or shouldn't you be starting to wash your Dad's dirty laundry? Hmmm. .. . Do you even have a functional family? By the way your insecurities show, I truly doubt it.
Aaaanyway, Rebekah, if I were you, surrender yourself from your futile attempts to sound what? More exotic? Drop the letter "H" from your name (which we're sure you just added to sound more yeah, cheap) & listen, GO, GRAB & GET A LIFE!
A true & meaningful one.
What are you waiting for? While you're at it, re-read our previous comment again so that we don't have to dissect it out to DUMB GIRLS like you. FYI, while you're busy being an idiot, we're busy laughing why you are such.
Get it?
GET IT!
toodles~

Rebekah actually has a point, I think whoever makes the pictures is great and the blog is nice but the pictures are achievable the way Rebekah says, I'm not saying it's how your contributor produces the pictures but it is possible to recreate images in the way Rebekah states.
ReplyDelete:]
@ Fag_Puff:
ReplyDeleteI would have to disagree with you. It is impossible to achieve the same quality in a way as Rebekah has instructed.
I myself have tried at least three downloaded filters but I am unable to come up with something very similar.
Don't you think that if it IS that easy, Rebekah would have already posted a link to a picture which she herself had made?
Just a question... Good times.Ü
I'm not bashing whoever makes the pictures, I am terrible at photoshop, I once tried to edit pictures of myself so I looked a little more tanned and I ended up looking like an Umpa-Lumpa, but it is possible to filter an image and get a similar result.
ReplyDeleteAs previously I'm not saying that it's how it was done here but it is possible with a good filter, I've seen it done.
Either way, the pictures produced look pree hot so what does it matter how he/she makes them.
:]
Ehm, actually I think Rebekah does have some points.
ReplyDeleteOne thing is using a pentools, vectors and another one is taking a real picture and then making it like it's one made from vectors.
I use photoshop for making wallpapers, photo editing, banners, avatars and such stuff and I do know about those filters and what they can do...and I also do know that if those pics would made with vectors, the result could have been much better.
Now, I'm not saying the images are of bad quality...however I think it's a bit too much calling them wonderful or whatever.
Of course if you don't use Photoshop that could explain the not top-quality as well. For graphics nothing is better than Photoshop. Sorry.

Doesn't mean anything, any picture is different from another therefore for every picture you might need to use different procedures, so to speak- (And you need to have quite an experience with photoshop).
Mirty6
@ Mirty6,
ReplyDeleteIf you refer to the comment of Rebekah on one of our posts, yes, it isn't nice but it's not constructive either.
Yes we do got her point about the "cut out filter". But the thing is, that is not the issue (mind you , she hasn't shown us any photo yet to make us realize how EASY it is).
We have called the pictures given by Vittorio wonderful because we THINK it is... and does that make us less of a person?
-----------------

Exactly our point.
Some pictures would have reacted beautifully with the cutout filter (or other ALIEN SKIN filters available for that matter), while others would require some level of expertise.
At the end of the day, the point of discussion here is not about how wonderful or bad the pictures are. It is about providing feedbacks or criticisms with a certain level of maturity (and i'd like to thank you for making one.Ü).
Ergo, calling people uneducated (refer to the comment Rebekah first made...) is a bit uncalled for.
RESPECT BEGETS RESPECT.

I agree with you Dan.Ü
As they say "Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder." We think that his (Vittorio) works look really good and it's good to know that you do as well.
Vittorio (who is in the middle of all this) is a wonderful person. And we think he deserves some acknowledgment in any little way
we could provide. Ü
I do think I'm pretty Photoshop savvy but some techniques are way beyond my skill as of the moment. haha!
Postscript:
It's nice to know that you are visiting the blog. More of you please...
xoxo - Noelle
Noelle, I agree no matter how the pictures are produced the end result is really nice and I'm sure most people would agree they are amazing.
ReplyDeleteI think if this debate is to go on much longer Rebekah needs to prove her 'point' and show everyone how it's done...if your contributor is as lacking as she seems to think and she can do so better then she ought to prove it.
Otherwise she's just pissing in the wind.
:]
Way to go! That 'argument' (or if u prefer to call it, explanation) totally rocked! That showed her. And read her new comment! Hehe.
ReplyDeleteI'm with Noelle on this one.
ReplyDeleteRebekah is just jelous because her skills arent as good as the teams.
You showed 'em Noelle!
:D
Hahah!
ReplyDeletePlease don't be stupid!
That guy does this in photoshop, I'm sure...
And why are his "designs" the same as on the pic? Tell him to make an outfit of your choise and see if he's going to make it!
That guy is lying!
Well Noelle and Isabella maybe your pictures don't come out as well as Rebekahs because she has more talent...? She might be more skilled on Photoshop/Photobucket, and anyway she is only stating an opinion, and for you to fight it, that's wrong. What world doesn't let us believe what we want to? Or say what WE want to? I don't think that's what you want to make yourself seem like Darling..
ReplyDeleteI mean don't get me wrong you're very talented, but putting together a dress on SD doesn't make you the best artist. And making a photoshopped graphic of an LV bag, well it doesn't say Talent for me. I don't think you need to slam Rebekah, or be rude to Fag_Puff. Or even let alone make a huge deal about one of her comments. Your blog could really do better without it. Please, for now, focus on making your blog easier to understand, and hmm, maybe a tad more interesting?
Like Mik-ma said...."I've made some pictures and it's 'uber easy... people shouldn't get this much attention for this, it's simple. Just try."
See??
Outdated as this may be, it's not right for Noelle to be so iggnorant.
ReplyDeleteYou can easily filter images like that.
It's so simple and not art at all.
Noelle just is embarrassed to be wrong ^_^
