I know of a lot of professionals who de-stress from their highly consuming jobs by having contradicting outlets. My aunt who is a surgeon finishes at least 3 pages from her colouring book before she sleeps. My friend's uncle assembles toy cars after a heated debate at the courtroom. And my Papa watches Disney Channel. And I, Stardoll.
What started out as a not-so-serious hobby more than 2 years back became my most effective ventilation. Stardoll whisks me to a place of creativity. But with the website's gazillion options to challenge our imagination, making my Medoll's limbs pose differently from our usual stiff virtual selves in sceneries is which I, deem to be the best cerebral workout.
And this picture became my recent {and favourite} project.
With Stardoll's generous release of a virtual version of this, and my being a huge doll collector, I MUST have this actual doll on my case & a MeDoll version at my Scenery.
Oh, & THANK YOU Angelic Dreamz for the photos!
I did remix it a bit with a few accessories, a flip of her signature hair, a flirtatious Marilyn-esque blown pose & of course, a tinge of 13 yr. old blush.
Aaaand this is what I came up with.
BUT
It just won't load!
Frustrated as I was, I had to do this all over again which means countless hours of manipulation. And trouffles. With vanilla-hazelnut brew.
Aaaanyway, my second try on this DID NOT load again.
Brimming on splitting my laptop in two with a karate chop, I just had to dissect what was hindering my scenery to load. After a few tests on number of items, complexity of positions & functionality of the resize options AND after 5 more recreations of this exact same scenery, I was able to rule out what Stardoll can actually save & load in a certain scenery.
*sigh*
So, there was no choice but to make a simpler version of what I previously had in mind.
THIS was the final cut.
Finally.
It didn't really capture what I initially envisioned based on what I previously created but uh, at least it loads now. The details are not as rich & the proportions are inexplicably saved differently. I was presented with no other choice but to content myself with this version rather than nothing.
I read at It's Stardoll Gossip B!tch! that there was a Dress Up As Barbie thingy a few weeks back & I was R-E-A-L-L-Y excited to enter but due to the scenery difficulty, I wasn't able to.
Oh well.
And to those asking how this was done, I am glad to show those interested how to re-do your hair & re-pose your MeDolls in your sceneries. Just let me know. okay?
Time to strip myself from this Barbie ballgown & change into my chef's uniform because I have gourmet to do.
Yes, from oh-so-fine Barbie to fine dining.
*sings*
So I like what I see when I'm looking at me when I'm walking pass the mirror
Don't stress through the night at a time in my life ain't worried bout if you feel it
Got my head on straight I got my vibe right I ain't gonna let you kill it
See I wouldn't change my life, my life's just fine
Fine. Fine. Fine.

Will you share with us how you create such magnificent sceneries? I am sure we would all just die to know your secret.
ReplyDeleteI would love to know how you do that too
ReplyDeleteyou use other stardolls that have the same skin tone. it's a lot of layering and covering things up and such. it seems difficult. very admirable.
