Hey Dolls.
I'm going to post some questions, and i'm really hoping that you'll post your answers on the comment section.
So here they are:
1. Do you wanna be famous in Stardoll/Dollywoood?
2. Why or why not?
Please do participate.
After I have enough answers, i'm going to make another post about the people who have interesting answers.
Thanks,
XOXO

I guess I would like to be known on stardoll, but not so "massively known" that I'd have to close my guestbook and all of that. I mean, it would be nice to be finally recognized for something you like doing, but it'd put alot of pressure on you, wouldn't it? Having a really good outfit all the time, having a flawless suite.... And you wouldn't be able to tell from real friends, or famewhores who spam your guestbook. But it does give you alot more options too. You can start your own fashion line or magazine with more general support and publicity than you usually would.
ReplyDeleteI'd like to be somewhere in the middle, I guess.
1) To be completely honest; I do not mind. I mean, to say that I am on Stardoll & continue to work on projects, simply to become 'famous', is very untrue. The only type of 'fame' that I would crave on here is for my writing skills... I want to pursue a career of journalism, so if people on Stardoll do read and enjoy my writing, that influences my life greatly.
ReplyDelete2) I don't mind because 'fame' on Stardoll is very irrelevant to my life & I would not take it seriously to be honest.
Hope that's answered both your questions. ^.^
1. Do you wanna be famous in Stardoll/Dollywoood?: Well, yes but no.
ReplyDelete2. Why or why not? I would like to be well known but I wouldn't be able to do with all the gossip and shiiitt that goes round about you. It would be nice to be well known though because if you are running NCG/CG/Party Planner/Album/Scenery winner then you have lot's of "friends" to vote for you. On the other hand, people say that you "shouldn't deserve it" because you have a "famous" title.
So, yeah, that's my answer :)
yes I would love to, but not in a way that everyone comes to my gb and sucks up to me, try to be friends, etc I would like to be recognzed for my writing skills and some other stuff I am good at here
ReplyDeleteIt really depends at times. I mean at times you really want people to view and follow your blog and stuff but you don't want horrible comments in your gb. Also you get more threats to hack your account and things. You know most of the "famous" people on Stardoll are all royalty and superstar but to be honest, I am sick of paying money to become a superstar when I enjoy being non superstar. I get love gaining starpoints so I can have that hair! That's probably the main thing for me and also gaining followers on my blog! I started modelling on Stardoll related projects and I enjoy that, I mean it's better then wasting lots of money to become CG and then you won't get it, at least most modelling companies are free and all you do is keep trying without wasting money at we need.

I would like to be known, not necessarily famous, but just known would be nice :)
ReplyDeleteI would like my blogs to be more known than me though, so if I had to choose, I'd want my blogs to be known/famous :)

1. I don't want to be famous, just well known for my work and writing.
ReplyDelete2. An elite membership, beautiful suite, a role model for other girls. No I don't want that. It's not my forte.I don't want to be pressurised into spending thousands of stardollars, just to look 'good'. I'd rather just be know for my work. Writing is my passion and ambition. A lot like Princessvx/Vicky, but I'm not copying her. I don't crave attention from the outside world, or to be this idea of having the 'ultimate' medoll. Just some opportunities for doing things I love and people to know I exist :)
xx
1) I could care less.
ReplyDelete2) Because I guess it would be nice, but not necessarily for me. After a while I get tired of answering messages and guestbook comments because I honestly have other things to do. I just hate people that approach me for no reason, like they want me to do something them. I don't know how to go on, I guess I can be anti-social at times and that will not work well with loads of guestbook comments awaiting replies.
Just a little note before my answer. All of your posts seem to be related to elitism on Stardoll. -.-
ReplyDeleteBy no means am I "elite" on Stardoll. Nor am I widely known by the Stardoll community. However, I do have friends, and I have been treated poorly and I have received negative attention from those I do not know and vice versa. And on occasion I have been praised for my work. So in a way, I have tasted a bittersweet piece of the spotlight. But as far as the aspect of being famous on Stardoll is concerned, it's not something I desire. However, I do desire for my work to shine as I construct it beneath the shadows. Not only on Stardoll, but in real life as well.
I think that this is a yes and no question. Yes, because of being recognized (as juicy-much said earlier). No, because of the loads of "haters" and "fake friends" (as juicy-much also said :D). However I do believe that by being famous on stardoll, you are inspired to be more creative with things like outfits, makeup, suites, albums, etc. Being famous would push those things to the limit. Overall, I'd like to be in the middle of the fame chain.
ReplyDeleteHonestly, I would like to be more well-known on Stardoll for my writing and my attempts to help others. But like everyone else previously stated, I wouldn't want to be bombarded with guestbook entries, friend requests and all the crazy stuff that people do to the famous ones. It can eventually get really stressful and aggravating to a point that can be troublesome.
ReplyDeleteI would like to get some more recognition, but not that much to make creepers visit me every minute. I don't want a massive recognition, just a bit more, to be more known, get more oportunities. I wanna get known for what I'm doing for years now; graphics. It sometimes feels like a waste of time, cutting all the shapes and filling them with color, shadows, highlights. It is for my own satisfaction, indeed it is, but what's an artist without their audience? I want an audience. People who will appreciate my work, etc. That's why I want a bit of fame.
ReplyDeleteThis question was rather difficult for me... yes, I'd like to have some sort of recognition for doing things that maybe the average member wouldn't have ever thought of in their lifetime. I just wouldn't want to be known for those things that make you a famewhore, or someone who everyone hates so much they feel the urge to give harsh comments to, and just plain play mean, one of those you might know as mmc9, even though he has changed, but many know him as the greatest stardoll hacker... and I wouldn't for even a second be accused of something like that, because I'm not that type of person.
ReplyDeleteI can honestly and seriously say that yes, I would absolutely adore to be famous and well-known in, as you put it, Dollyworld.
ReplyDeleteFor some people, cutting is their escape from the harsh reality that is the real world today. For others, it's a variety of different hobbies they've had since they were children. For me personally, Stardoll is what I consider to be my escape.
I'm not sure if people understand where I'm coming from, but in the real world unlike a lot of the more well-known users on Stardoll I'm still completely and totally undecided in who I want to be.
On Stardoll though, I have the chance to be whoever I want to be. Yes, in RL I'm undecided, but I know one thing: I want people to know my name. I want to be famous, remembered in history. I want to create something long-lasting and solid.
For what some call an elite, creating a new project is as easy as sending around a couple of spoilers and gaining several hundred followers within days.
For me, it takes months to get maybe twenty followers. The people that could give me the advertising I need won't even look at my projects.
I crave the attention I don't get in real life and come to Stardoll to get that attention, but in reality I'm not getting what I want.
To be known, famous if you like, is exactly what I want and maybe even need.
To be honest, I would like to be known on stardoll. Not so famous that I got over 10 friend requests a day, or had my guestbook spammed every minute, but to be well known. If you were 'Famous' on stardoll, people would expect you to have a perfect medoll and suite, which I know I don't have. Of course, being well known gives your blogs opportunity, more of a chance to be covergirl or start a magazine/fashion line... I guess I would like to be well known, but not too famous (:
ReplyDeleteI'd love to be able to lie and say fame doesn't matter to me, but I do. There's something really appealing about the idea of people constantly visiting my suite, adoreing my outfit, and running several successful projects. I do admit to visiting many "elites" suites often, (I like to see their outfits), and being amazed by the perfect suites and medolls, the huge list of people posting in their guestbooks and how perfect they seem. I know there's haters out there as well, but I'd be glad to trade in my social status in dollywood now, a regular member with no haters, to be famous and get some people who don't like me.
ReplyDeleteBut there's a difference between me and famewhores. If I get famous, I want it to be from talent, not because I demand attention from everyone and anyone.
Oh, and Robyn: about what you said about projects, thats exactly the way it is. I've been working on my blog for a couple months, and I have ten followers. (Which I don't have a problem with, I love all of them for reading it. I actually got really excited when I hit ten. I'm still excited. Double digits. :)) It just gets me mad when I see a project with hundreds of followers, and it's been going on for a month or less because the person running it is an "elite". (Not trying to complain. I'm just telling the truth.)
ReplyDeleteNO I WOULKD NOT WANT TO BE FAMOUS
ReplyDeleteON STARDOLL FIRST BECAUSE IT JUST A SIGHT THAT YOU SPEND MONEY ON TO WEAR FAKE CLOTHING THAT YOU COULD BE SPENDING YOUR MONEY ON IN REAL LIFE.ALSO BECAUSE ITS NOT YOUR TITLE THAT SHOULD REPRSENT YOU BUT WHAT KIND OF PERSON YOU ARE SHOULD REPERSENT YOU.ANOTHER REASON IS THE FAKE PEOPLE WHO WILL TRY TO BE YOUR FRIENDS TO RISE TO FAME AND THEN BACK STAB YOU.I MEAN DO YOU REALY NEED TO BE FAMOUS IT IS JUST A DOLL SIGHT FOR GIRLS I MEAN US TEENAGERS SHOULD TRYING TO HELP ARE SELVES NOT SPEND MONEY ON STARDOLL BUT I HAVE TO SAY ITS ADDICTING.
i would like to be well know, but for the RIGHT reasons. i would like to be recognized for the work i put into my virtual life, and for trying to be a good person (still human though...). i guess i would like recognition, rather than fame, because of the pressure and gossip that comes with fame.
ReplyDelete-A
It would be nice to be famous on Stardoll, have everyone know my name, and what I do. I would honestly want to look back on doing something awesome in the Stardoll world. But I also love my friends on this website and I feel it might change things between us. I also would want to do something and be nice and not have to live up to the ruthless elite status so many elites are.
ReplyDeleteWell I would like to well know because of my albums skills ,but no because if I want to be recognize for my talent not just because am famous, lot of girls win CG because they are famous wasting lot of money in getting to get know and they not even half of a CG and also they have more chances on hacking their account.
ReplyDeleteYes i would be famous. Cuze i try it again and again and again. But there is one rule : It dasn't havo to because i have love in Real-life so why i would get virtual people to know, yess i have friends i am happy to have them but ife i haveing a good time with my family an friends i don't give a shit anymore on stardoll
ReplyDeletei love my family&friends they are everything to be. & because i am always working so so sso hard for my ghraphicques and suite and MeDoll that i deserve some well-know.
Why? Like i say that before!

xxX marokinaa070
hope you understand it
I would like and yes to have fame but not spammed guestbook 24/7 and fake friends & I dont want fame because they are always the target Mizzmileypathetic targets Elites on right? Thats why.
ReplyDelete1. Do you wanna be famous in Stardoll/Dollywoood? no
ReplyDelete2. Why or why not? Because there are better things to do in life and I have 4 cats to look after (its very tiring) O_O
1. I used to want to be famous but I don't think I want to be anymore.
ReplyDelete2. Well there was a time when I was a new player on Stardoll and I wanted to be known in my country members circle. Sadly when I finally became a bit more famous some people started to hate me even more and more with no reason. Maybe they were/are jealous I don't know.. Maybe those people just don't like me but they started to insult me even harder and harder by talking about my real life and creating non-existing facts about me. It made me to realize that fame isn't a good thing at all. I left every Lithuanian project that I owned, deleted almost every Lithuanian friend, changed my flag and just stopped talking with all of them because I felt like everyone of my country is against me by no reason. Then I've started to get a lot of rude friend requests I've been published in some of blogs which wrote random facts about me as true I've even been reported from random accounts because someone wanted to delete me just because I've stopped talking with Lithuanians. Now the situation is much better I'm feeling like a lot of people finally forgot about me and this was all I wanted. I don't want to be famous because I'm not sure if I am strong enough to ignore all the rude people.
