10 reasons against gay marriage...

It seems that nothing has happened on Stardoll recently, no exciting new items or even news. Nothing. So to take a break from blogging about the happenings on Stardoll, I am going to enlighten you with some real-life issues...

Gay Rights.

I have been a long time supporter of gay rights; it is not someone's fault if they are attracted to another person that is of their own gender. There are many arguements to condemn gay people, and even the Bible criticises gays, but I do not share this view.

Here is something my friend sent me, it is this viral that went around quite a while ago but I recieved it again the other day:

1. Being gay is not natural. Real Americans always reject unnatural things glasses, polyester, and air conditioning.

2. Gay marriage will encourage people to be gay, in the same way that hanging around tall people will make you tall.

3. Legalizing gay marriage will open the door to all kinds of crazy behavior. People may even wish to marry their pets because a dog has legal standing and can sign a marriage contract.

4. Straight marriage has been around a long time and hasn't changed at all; women are still property, blacks still can't marry whites, and divorce is still illegal.

5. Spears' 55-hour just-for-fun marriage would be destroyed.

6.Straight marriages are valid because they produce children. Gay couples, infertile couples, and old people shouldn't be allowed to marry because our orphanages aren't full yet, and the world needs more children.

7. Obviously gay parents will raise gay children, since straight parents only raise straight children.

8. Gay marriage is not supported by religion. In a theocracy like ours, the values of one religion are imposed on the entire country. That's why we have only one religion in America.

9. Children can never succeed without a male and a female role model at home. That's why we as a society expressly forbid single parents to raise children.

10. Gay marriage will change the foundation of society; we could never adapt to new social norms. Just like we haven't adapted to cars, the service-sector economy, or longer life spans.

Are we not a civilised society?
Why do some of us treat our gay people as sub-humans?
Think about it.
xoxo

NOTE: This piece of text is SATIRICAL, if you do not understand what that means please do not write comments that criticise the text...otherwise that would be irony at it's best.

  1. I support gay marriage. Those reasons are utter shit.

  2. Uhm...the piece if text is a satire. It is all tongue-in-cheek and if you read it again you will see that it actually mocks people that oppose gay marriages.

    ReplyDelete
  3. I support it all the way. Oh, and whats all that about black people marrying white people and so on being illegal? Im sorry love but I think youve got a little thing wrong in that disgusting rant :(

    ReplyDelete
  4. sorry i dont agree . and actually this reason: <<7. Obviously gay parents will raise gay children, since straight parents only raise straight children>> does not exist at all :/

    ReplyDelete
  5. I think they should be free to be with whoever they want, it is their life not others and therefore if they are happy that is what matters ,right?

The reasons though pointing the finger at people opposing gay rights were still very truthful in places of how people treat gays and lesbians. I agree with you Jenny, they are who they are it won't hurt anyone.

My mums friends is gay and getting married and none of us has been rude or turned away because he is happier now =]

    ReplyDelete
  6. I absolutely agree with you! I think they should avoid the gay marriage because they won't creat aa family and most of the gay's couples get divorce in a very short period of time!

  7. woah, are you all stupid or fucking ignorant?
the text is satirical as bubblyminty said meaning that it is ironic.

the text suports gay marraige. you all need to get of stardoll and get eductaed, most of u are so ignorant and stupid it's unbelievable. the comment above me made me perish with amusement, stupid poor girl.

satire people, undertsnad? u dont cuz half of u are stupid.

  8. My parents are straight, and a bit homophobic, but I'm very open minded, and hey, I'm going to admit it out loud, I like girls and guys. Both are attractive.

But this article has a point, mocking those who oppose it.

Just like a video I saw of a man in New York being scared of Muslims everywhere, it was making fun of those against Muslims and the creation of a Mosque near ground zero.

  9. The text is soooooo inventive. I think that people will think differently reading it. It's so funny and ironic ! How clever !!!

    ReplyDelete
  10. it's only the dumb people that don't understand that text.
get back to school idiots, dumb fucks.

that satire does support gay marriage, some of you idiots think different.

  11. Wooow, those ten reasons are soo ridiculous!!!

  14. You are such a liberal. But I shouldn't expect anything differnt from the type of people who are on Stardoll. Do you thin keveryone is equal? Everyone deserves the same things?

Well, I could say similar things about people in jail, but then everyone would say I'm wrong because those people did something to deserve going to jail. Oh, but I could say that they are people too. But no one cares for them.

Gay people CHOOSE to be gay. They know what their getting themselves into, and if they cannot handle it, then they have to deal with it.

What they do is sick and wrong. And so are you if you believe in that.

    ReplyDelete
  15. I've read these points before, they're very humorous and make several good points, and obvious jabs at several of the rather ridiculous excuses people make against gay marriage, and homosexual people altogether.

I find this topic extremely confusing and its very hard for me to make a complete jump to either side, I feel more stuck in the middle, torn between two sides.

Being raised in a straight laced, Christian family extremely homophobic, and extremely judgmental, I've been brought up my entire life to hate these people and told that what they do is disgusting and an "abomination".

But obviously as I got older, I began to consider things in my own way, curious as to why exactly I was taught these things. Of course I stumbled across one of the biggest arguments that is going on in our days, I've finally forced myself to come to a conclusion.

While I'm unable to forsake my religion, which clearly states that homosexual relations is in fact a disgusting abomination, that doesn't mean that I can ignore other parts of this as well, as to not judge others, and of course political values, in which I've been brought up conservative beliefs, the same people that hate the gay community with a passion, claim that everyone deserves to have freedom, but the majority cut out people whose lifestyle they don't agree with.

So basically, my belief is currently, that these are HUMAN BEINGS we're talking about. Whether they choose or are born this way (we may never really know), these are all humans, until they've done something thats truly horrific or terrible, they deserve respect whether you disagree with them or not. Gay marriage should be legal, and if you don't agree with it, thats fine. Don't agree, just because its legal doesn't mean you have to join in the "parade". You retain your beliefs, and as you want yours to be respected, respect theirs as well.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Gay people DO NOT CHOOSE TO BE GAY. Can someone help if they are attracted to their own gender? You have no contro l over your attractions.

If I had the choice to be gay I would not be gay. Why?
I am not attracted to girls, that is why.

Being gay is NOT a choice- scientists do not know what causes people to be gay- neither is ignorance right?!

So before you start talking shit, think about it.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Nobody knows why people are gay. Nature, upbringing, choice etc are not the reason for this.

I have a gay friend and I asked him how did he know what he was gay. His response was that he had sex with a women and he threw up.

I respect the fact that you may be religious...but have you seen the "most hated family in America"?

    ReplyDelete
  18. i love that text! nobody chooses their sexuality-do straight people sit and decide 'hmmmm i am going to b straight'? no we dont.
live and let live. do whatever makes u happy, the world will b a much better place for it.

  21. I love this post. Kudos to you for standing up to what you believe in and for supporting the gay community. I, myself have gay friends and I love them so much. They're the most honest, supportive and understanding people I've known.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Alright, you have me at that one. No, they may not choose who they are attracted to, but if they are like that, then they need to be aware of what they are getting themselves into. I know that they can't change it is they are, but they should at least be responsible for themselves. They don't need a bunch of liberals protecting them. Aren't they just human beings like everyone else? No one else is really being protected like they are. What about the middle class? They don't choose how much their boss pays them, they don't decide how well the economy goes, but they get by on their own, fending for themselves. Who will prtoect them?

Snobby liberal rich girls like you all? Nope. Only themselves, and God.

    ReplyDelete
  23. If we get to the bottom of this, we will uncover dirt, after dirt, after dirt.

The fact is, we are all living in a hypocritical society.

Conservatives go to their churches, sing and give praise to the Lord, go home and teach their children not to judge others, be respectful of the rights of people, forgive all those who trespass them... and that BEING GAY is WRONG. Ironic isn't it?

This is not a surprise anymore anyway, thousands of lives were taken just for Christianity to spread and now become the biggest religion in the world. Catholic priests would lead these raids and they will kill women and children in "Christianity's sake".

So much for giving honor to life as it was given by GOD and He alone has the sole right to take it.

    ReplyDelete
  24. What are you even talking about? Killing women and children? Nope. Not happening. No one has ever said that we should kill, hurt, make fun of, etc. gay people. We only said that we don't support them in what they do.

What about abortion? What do you say about that, at least?

    ReplyDelete
  25. Inari, Nobody talked about "killing" (in that tense at least).

The context of that was to illustrate how ironic our society was and is and how we've been built with a foundation like such.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Abortion is incoherent in this trail of comments...

    ReplyDelete
  27. Then you should portray it as such.

And perhaps not so irrelevant. WHat, are you embarrassed of your opinions on abortion or something?

    ReplyDelete
  28. Inari you are just a stupid hater. Just leave if I were you. You can't even follow people's logic and you can't read between lines. You just understand what you want to understand. Your comments are getting more and more irrelevant and funny at the same time.

    Please, stop embarassing yourself.

  29. @Inari

Let me explain Noelle's comment to you as if you are a 5th grader.

The Church is in the forefront of going against gay marriage. The reason behind this is aside from (according to them) God just created men and women, it is also because gay couples cannot procreate.

The Church according to themselves value life. Now, if you go back in history, they made numerous raids where they sacrificed thousands of lives (majority of which are women and children).

Now isn't ironic in that sense alone? That they are saying that being gay is wrong but justified their murders because it is borne out of the proliferation of Christianity?

Were you able to get it now?

Anyhow, You making this comment is stupid enough so we just shouldn't bother: "Gay people CHOOSE to be gay. They know what their getting themselves into, and if they cannot handle it, then they have to deal with it."

PS: Considering that you seem to be one conservative and judgemental ass, why are you so obsessed with abortion and suddenly spring the topic out of nowhere more than once? Have you had it?

    ReplyDelete
  30. @Anonymous
You say I'm embarassing myself? At least I cna go public with my opinions instead of being freaking anonymous!

    @Ysadora Powers

I "spring" to the topic of abortion because it is a similar topic that should be addressed as well.

I already admitted my fault in the first comment I made, there is no need to reference it again.

I'll explain it to you the way I was raised. Gay marraige is not the end all-be all. It is just a step towards something that could be worse. Soon, thanks to the media and you liberals, it will be okay for there to be a marraige between a 40 year old man and a 12 year old girl just because they "love each other". Can we not all agree that THAT is sick? Oh, but they "can't control who they are attracted to". Yeah, your story doesn't stick.

I AM conservative. But at least I can say that I'm proud to be one.

I have not had one and only a sick person like you would think so. I am Christian. Not exactly a christian belief, no, is it? So what ARE your opinions on abortion?

    ReplyDelete
  31. Equality. Do you know what that means? In the dictionary; the state of being equal. It means everyone is beautiful, LGBT, BWA, skinny or fat, we all are human, how ever a person lives their life, they are beautiful. If our world was free, we wouldn't deny or even kill ourselves due to discrimination. We wouldn't have clubs for gays because they have to have clubs where anyone is welcome, but in a "straight," club, you have to be straight and depending on your popularity, you can be bi. But still you call the country you live in "free".

I hate homophobia, I dislike people who make jokes about fat people. Yes I have made mistakes about these topics before, to fit in, to be "normal". I thought that "normal" people were people who make jokes about fat people because they are "normal." I thought that you could be "normal" by disliking LGBT or BWA, I should tell who ever reads this that it is not what normal people do, it's what shallow, people do. Do you know why people do it? They do it because they suffer it themselves. They aren't homophobic because gays are "wrong," they are homophobic because they are scared. I think that is disgusting.
Nothing about a human being is wrong.

Every day I hear about homophobia, every day it is getting worse. Yes, I am bringing up this subject a lot in my presentation, messages, art. Want to know why I defend everybody nobody no matter what? It's because I believe in EQUALITY! I hate that people judge people by what they hear, what they think before actually hearing the victim's side of the story.
Before I end my presentation, I need to clear up I am straight. I am just judgment free. I love everyone from the bottom of my brain. Yes brain! The heart just beats, the brain contains all the emotions that everybody feels. It also contains love, so I love you all from the bottom of my heart.

    - That was copied from my presentation.

But yes, people believe in different things. I believe if a man chooses to be with a man, then so be it. If a woman wants to be with another woman, then let it happen.

Everyone is beautiful. Well, not Katy Perry, I hate her... But anyways, we were all born this way. We can't chose to be straight, we can't chose to be gay, we can't chose to be bi.
We can only chose to be open about it, and a fraction of straights are not who they say they are. They are closeted LBG.
They are closeted because LBGs are murdered, abused, harassed, the list goes on.

If LBGT was seen as normal, do you think that straights would be treated poorly? I don't think so.

Inari, you have made my naughty list.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Abortion has got nothing to do with this post from Jenny, Inari. That's totally off topic.

What you can do though is to create a blog of your own, do a topic about abortion and get all the comments and views about it all you want.

Now, your arguments are leaning more towards things that are so beyond logic that a conservative ass like you is most likely to think about. Marriage between a 12 year old girl and a 40 year old man? I don't know how your parents raised you but there is such a thing called emotional maturity where one is already able to decide for oneself. A 12 year old girl is a minor. A marriage between 2 men where the other is 12 years old and the other is 40 years old will make it worse for you am I right? I know it will.

Gay marriage is beyond "feelings and attraction" for your information. If a gay man decides to marry a woman he doesn't love just to conform to the so called "norms" of society doesn't make him a better man. Maybe to your eyes he will be but to lie towards oneself and to others is a greater sin I believe than to accept who you are. You should consider that.

...and nope! abortion is still off topic.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Inari if you weren't as stupid as I believe you are, I have no blogger account and so I just left my stardoll username in my comment you piece of hating shit (so I didn't leave an anonymous comment technically). How do you spell abortion? or DUMB?

    ReplyDelete
  34. Wooldoor, I respect you for you comment. You were very precise, to the point, etc. You held firm but were logical and respectful about things. And although, I still don't agree with things, I'm not going to argue with you because you are above my level, and I know my place. The only things I could possibly argue on is about homophobia. THere is a difference between a homophobe and someone who doesn't support such a thing.

And as for Ysadora Powers, what you said was completely false. You misinterprested everything I said. That emotional maturity you spoke of contradicts your argument completely.

I said nothing about a GAY person (notice how I use the term "gay" instead of "a man who loves another man", why sugar-coat everything?) marrying a woman he doesn't love. I only said that I don't support gay marraige. Not everyone has to get married, you know? They should stay single and deal with their GAY-ness themselves.

And yes, it is a bit off subject, but I'd be interested to know what your opinions are on such a thing since they are sure to be similar to your viewpoints on this.

    @ Inari

I'm trying not to be rude.

But, just really shut up. It's as plain and single. I don't give a shit about your religious views. Hey, I'm a roman catholic and I don't enjoy going to church, I still believe in 'God' or whatever the hell it is called.

But, I am effing Bisexual, yes, my parents would possibly be mad at me if I told them, but they wouldn't have that much a damn fucking problem.

If you are 'conservative' or whatever it is called. I do not care. I'm not a liberal, and I'm not conservative, it is my goddamn right to believe whatever the hell I wish to believe in.

    Names are just effing words.

I'm not going to act even immature than, what I have just acted, but please, if you have such a gigantic problem. Leave this post, read some other posts. Do something else. Don't be childish by replying back.

Hey, even if I believe in different things than you, people can still be friends with others, no matter what race, color, sexuality, and etc.

    So there, done, terminado.

'NOH8' No hate or discrimination, please.

  38. Dammit, I put single!! Not simple.

    ReplyDelete
  39. You call me childish for posting my views, yet make a post about yours? A bit contradictory, don't you think?

Anyways, I'm not saying they should be attacked, killed, hurt, etc. I'm only saying I don't believe that what they do is right. And you call yourself a catholic, yet, you don't go to mass and you barely believe in God? Just call yourself what you are, GAY. Athiest. Done. You are what you are. And that's wrong.

    ReplyDelete
  40. @ Inari

    In my opinion,닥쳐!

Okay, no need to be rude.

But, seriously, I am Catholic, I pray, yet I don't seriously give much of a shit about it, but I've been baptized. I'm a freaking Catholic.

And, By the way, Bisexual is not gay. I am Bisexual, and I'm not an atheist for not being as obsessed with 'God' as some are.

I'm just an open minded person who doesn't give a shit.

It's not wrong, isn't it in the Bible? 'God made us all the way he wants us to be', so, he wouldn't have a mistake.

And, God(Jesus or whatever) is Jewish.

I can call you childish if I feel like it, I live in a free Country, my OPINION is different from yours.

    - Yumi

    ReplyDelete
  41. And, I don't give a crap about mass, since I've never even known what the hell it is.

I don't want someone I do not know, to judge me just because I don't go to mass or something.

There's also a difference about how you believe in a religion, you can go to Church, or you can't, my church is hours away, and I don't feel like going.

You will still be in the religion, and not be told by some ignorant person, that you're not your own religion that you follow. Call me Atheist or any crap. I still believe in that guy in the sky. I even have a damn painting of him in my own room.

    ReplyDelete
  42. Look, Yumi. I know I'm not perfect. I lie and I'm not the best person out there, but at least I know that. You, are not Catholic. You may believe in God, but just that alone does not make you a practicing Catholic. And yes, God made us the way he wanted. But, he also gave us a CHOICE. and one of those coices is other religions, another is gay (or bi, whatever, I don't give a crap about what you are) vs. straight. There is a reason it is called STRAIGHT. The straight and narrow path.

You can believe whatever you want to believe, but you're wrong. And I'm done here. You all are just thick headed liberal children who say everyone is equal.

What about people in jail? Huh? They are humans too! (sarcastic whining) No one defends them, and I've also noticed that no one replied on anything about that articular subject because it follows the same circumstances and they know they are wrong. Just give it up.

    ReplyDelete
  43. I'm not going to allow a closed minded person to decide my religion, I was baptised in a Roman Catholic church, that means I am Catholic, hell my mum has a bible in her room! And she feels just the way I do, being completely obsessed with religion isn't always a good thing.

And, have you noticed that there are people that are sent to jail that are actually innocent? And some learn their lessons. So really, they are still human, believe whatever you want, and don't try to tell me what to do, or what not to do. You are not the boss of me, or the one who controls my life.

So, leave me alone, with my supposed 'wrong' opinions, and I'll leave you alone with your supposed 'right' opinion.

Okay, done, now can people just be friends already?

    I'm sorry. Does that work?

    ReplyDelete

Nice to see you back! Oh wait. .. .who are you again?
