Actually, this is one of our choices we aren't sure we wanted to hire or not and we are giving them a chance to write to impress us to see if we want to chose them for sure!

So your opinions on them might decide whether or not they are denied or chosen.

We have all of our writers a topic based on the theme we picked which was '7 Deadly Sins on Stardoll' where we relate occurrences on Stardoll on a particular deadly sin. And each writer gets 'Stardoll sin' to write on, and they had full control on how they wrote it out, they chose their own length, writing style, and how they wanted to address it. And what I post here is completely unedited as well, so please address any issues or likes of the article in the comments below!

The sin we gave to writer #3 is 'Gluttony', or when a person constantly wants or gets things that they don't need, to be full-filled. (Similar to greed but more so with items than money.)

As we are human beings, we have been naturally tinged with the unsettling atribute of savage greed and intense desire for almost everything that surrounds us in our world. In our private lives, this sense of extreme want has played out in several departments of our everyday lives. From shopping, sex, to almost everything under the sun, the demand for everything desireable is on the constant rise. However, is this behavior existant within this place we call Dollywood? Yes. This behavior has openly and shamelessly been exhibited within our fashion based virtual universe. How exactly? The question of the matter is of what exactly: through the collecting of rares and the obsessions with brand name labels on Stardoll.  The sheer lust for rares and exclusive clothing labels has marked Stardoll in a very awful way because of it's members whom are insatiable when it comes to having everything. In a place where everything is availible, it is simply just not enough for some.

 

Many are quick to lay blame on Stardoll above all simply because the website promise,  like a good provider that it is,  "fashion". One of the main activities all members do on Stardoll is dress up in fabulously rendered clothes, and with the right amount of money or celebrity pull you can have it all. In Dollywood, we have a grand plethroa of brand name obsessed people who would cut throats for first season LE or that covetable MKA collection just because of their ravenous behavior. In a sense, many have become severely gluttonous when it comes to obtaining these items and by doing so they hoard them away into massive collections to  outright gain the attention of many. Instead of raising envy however, these individuals are currently raising the ire in everyone whom is noticing their gluttonous behavior. Youget all have seen it: the latest collection comes out and everyone buys it up immediately, yet in a few months time it's being sold. Many are making fortunes off of other's sadly gluttonous greed and it's rather unfortunate. Would you want someone to make money off of you just because you are acting greedy? Many are getting played rather than playing the game of Stardoll because of such behavior.

 

 When many think of gluttony, they instantly pin point it directly to one of the famed seven sins. Gluttony above all could mean over eating, and in this case members are gluttonous to the point that they devour the latest of anything that could have value or amass some sort of worth on down the line. The sheer obsession with having everything is driving many to the edge, making them inhumanly receivers of mass quantities of everything, from the latest release in Hot Buys to the designer tribute collections that Stardoll releases. Overall, gluttony in Dollywood is a major issue. First off, the easy accessability of items on Stardoll leads many to have an unhealthy obsession with having as much as they want and whenever they want. They make it their top priority when they log in to search and scour for items to fill their collections, no matter the cost or what they have to do to get them. The under handed activities to have more on Stardoll has lead many to do the worst act of gluttony in Dollywood: hacking others to have rares in their collections. A price is paid for such ravenous consumption of items, and twenty four hours a day, seven days a week, the gluttonous minds of Stardoll users are englued on adding to their collections and overflowing caches of digitally rendered designer inspired ensembles.

 

Many don't feel as if they should stop at all, in fact many believe that they have the right to amass such collections and to be obsessed with having designer labels. It gives gluttonous people on Stardoll sadistic joy to showcase the wealth of their spoils.  The fact is that this gluttony is not being stopped or even talked about openly within our virtual society only because so many partake in such a devestating activity. Members are often incredulous to their gluttonous ways all of the time and continue to take in more than they can handle, thus making it an obsession to do so. Gluttony on Stardoll can be based around many pivotal factors. For one, the plight for fame and recognition play a heavy role in their strive to have the rarest of items to keep up with the "in-crowd". Many are revered for their massive collections and are thrown into the lime light for their greed, which has been praised and looked up apon rather than be shown for what it really is: gluttony. I would always  like to ask such people a perticular question: Does having the latest of anything really make you feel that you are worth something? I feel as if such gluttonous ways are detremental to members mainly outside of the perimeters of Stardoll's virtual world. When one is able to have so much anytime they want on Stardoll, their mind set becomes this on their personal time. Gluttony on Stardoll is an epidemic that is growing with because of the members whom are unwillingly unable to let go of their voracious tendancies when it comes to buying items. Many are simply too exceedingly eager to please the masses with their collections rather than collect because of a more natural, mentally settling way.

 

Gluttony on Stardoll has been heavilly ensewn into having a status on Stardoll, and it becomed easilly recognizable through having the latest of the late or having an extreme amount of previously coveted rares. If one cannot make a direct name for themselves, they can simply buy it and it seems to be this way. If you feel as if you are partaking in Stardoll guttony, revaluate your current condition. Do you find yourself on the verge of anger or in sheer desperation to have the latest designer labels? Do you just buy anything just because it has a popular trademark? I advise you strictly not to get too deep into this savage desire for items that you on your personal time will never obtain into your physical grasp simply because you will only be hurting yourself. Instead of putting most of your money on virtual items, you could attempt to put that income twoards something more constructive. Don't be another sterotype of the gluttonous Stardoll member, for it will only lead you down through a road of intense problems that you don't have to make for yourself. Having the latest won't make you happy eternally, and it always means more to have the things that you will love and cherish for a long time rather than having the newest of anything.

• Why is there a lack of posts?

- Because there are only 5 writers left over, and basically Stardoll blogging is not our main priority at MDM sadly while it is the middle of a school semester. But I am sure after we have our new writers up, our drouth of posts will be full-filled.

• Why are you not using Noelle's graphics?

- Because we don't know how to do them as well as her, and if we could we'd ask her to do it, but she is 10 times busier than either of us.

• Why are you posting still if you are trying to update?

- Because we are waiting for Lana to finish our graphics for our new writers and I wanted to check and see if our choices were to you guy's likings, so I gave them a topic to write about to feed the gap in between their first real post.

• Why aren't the new writers here?

- To be honest, this mini makeover was because I really wanted to have the new writers already up and posting, but Aislin wants to introduce them like when Noelle did it for us when we started to write, which is why we are watching until we have the bodies from Lana to make an introduction with their medoll on it like Noelle made for us.

The sin we gave to writer #2 is 'Lust', or when people do things based on sexual desires, thoughts, and their desperation for it.

Lust, by definition, is a strong sexual desire... also known as one of the seven deadly sins. In the words of John Paul II, “the will to use another person as means to my own satisfaction, without regard to their dignity as image and likeness of God.” However, sin or no sin, lust is seen in modern life nonetheless. Examples range from teen and adult 'relationships', to pornography, to even something non-sexual, like the desire to achieve a goal at all costs. Lust in itself is a broad topic, one that would probably bore you if I were to list every fact related.

I'm sure that most people are likely to have read at least one post about sexual behavior on Stardoll. I will be the first to admit that it's an over discussed topic... But, I have never really thought of it as 'lust' before. Inappropriate behavior, maybe, but never as a sin. Religious or not, using a person for your own benefit isn't a positive thing. It isn't something you'd like to see in any a human being, especially in someone as young as 12 years old.

In my opinion, sex is an act that should be shared between two people that love each other. What goes on in "$ E X" party rooms rooms isn't exactly a loving relationship, it's a way for an unknown face to 'get off' behind the screen. Sometimes, it is simply trolling. The Ugly Side of Stardoll provides many examples of this, as well as visuals. Children often don't realize the consequences that may come with their actions. Not only is engaging in sexual behavior harmful to a child taking part, it is also harmful to a curious underaged kid who ends up in the wrong party. Studies show that kids learn majority of anything sex related online. What I've noticed is that when people do cover this topic, they often fail to include statistics. According to Enough is Enough,

• There are currently over 644,865 registered sex offenders in the United States.
• 48% of K-1st students have access to the internet, yet only 50% are supervised by an adult in the process.
• 16% of those kids have created an email adress, without the knowledge of their parents.
• 11% have unlocked/disabled parental filtering/control. (A feature that Stardoll allows to disable!)
• 65% of high school students admit to unsafe, inappropriate, or illegal activities online.
• Of students aged 13 and 14 from schools across Alberta, Canada, 90 percent of males and 70 percent of females reported accessing sexually explicit media content at least once.

I have only featured a few statistics, I highly advise you to visit the link given above as the numbers truly are eyeopening! Of course, let's not forget - lust isn't all about sexual fulfillment. We all desire things once in a while, but let's think of the measures some of us take to get that oh-so-coveted MKA RC. I know I've had some of my friends tell me that they would take their parents' phones and credit cards without asking, all just so they could afford that item they bid for...

Before concluding this post, I just wanted to mention that I didn't intend to, in any way, criticize anybody's personal beliefs. However, nobody should be used for somebody else's benefit, there is just no excuse for that. From internet acts of sexual wanting to the teeth grinding day dreams of owning a rare Stardoll dress, lust has shifted everywhere; throughout our real world, and in our Stardoll community.

For Better or For Worse

The marriage vow: "from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness or in health...I pledge you my faithfulness." is about sticking through everything, the good and the bad. It's about inevitable change.

Unless someone finds them self "in sickness", poor, and pretty much at the worst part of their life, people hate change. They scream and pull their hair out trying the get used to the adjustment. The major changes stardoll did in 2010 were no different. The site we were used to had been flipped around, and just wasn't the same. But after a few months everyone got used to it. And come on, if the site never changed, it would still look like this:

  The site would still be solely about celebrities & paper dolls. How long would a site like that keep your attention? A couple days? Months? Certainly not years. Look at the tabs, there wasn't even a store. It took a few million members later for that to happen:

I joined a month after the print screen above, being member number 6,079,733. It was fun for a while, but I didn't keep any vow of sticking around. It wasn't until the summer of 2007 that things got interesting. That's when clubs were created:

Clubs brought Stardoll into the realm of social networking. It connected people with joint interests from all around the world. I think that is what stardoll is about now. It's why you're here reading this. Because we have similar interests, and somehow in this world of billions, we are able to communicate.

Looking back, I think we're all thankful we've stuck with stardoll through the change. But what about other changes? A recent post on "The Antagonist Of Stardoll" brought up the question: Is MDM going downhill? As seen in comments, many people believe it is. Complains about posts being few and far between and not up to their previous standards of when Noelle was the owner are common occurrences. When it comes time to point fingers they always goes to Aislin and Dei. Why? I mean they took responsibility for this blog. They kept it alive.

Do you know why you can't find a new post everyday? Because in actuality there are only 4 writers on this blog. The plethora of writers left by Noelle who either never posted, or posted junk were all removed from this blog. This is why we went in search of new writers. Well where are they? They're waiting, preparing, hoping to please you. We do, believe it or not, work to please our readers. However most readers are just waiting to pounce on the names of the new writers. That is why we are posting their work without their names. This blog should be about the writing, not about the names. Because of this the new writers haven't been added to the blog yet. So this leaves a big lapse for me, Maggie, Aislin and Dei to fill.

Maybe this blog is in it's "for worse"stage, but the question is, will you stay faithful? Will you stick with us while we work to make this blog the best that it can be? We're in a period of change. If you think we're going down hill, then I just have one thing to tell you: Once you get to the bottom of a hill, there's nowhere to go but up.

Hey guys, sorry for not posting, but frankly Stardoll is the last thing on my mind, but since I am around on a Friday, I thought to make this post since I hadn't before!

But basically, me and Aislin thought that before we allow our new writers to write, we should have you guys comment, review, and rate their writing so we can see if you guys enjoy our choices or not.

Though we will have the final decision for who stays on MDM or goes, we would love to have you guys base your opinions, but please be far and don't bash people.

Over the course of the next 2 weeks I will post their articles for YOU, the reader, to rate.

Hey guys! The topic that I was given to write about was envy. 

I'm sure, as we all know, that Stardoll is a prime example of where envy takes place.

Mostly it occurs in the minds of DKNY blood thirsty ten year old girls, but more seldom, it takes place with very, very nasty pieces of work.  This has most recently been demonstrated with the newly created, and hastily deleted, Stardoll Kill List.

[As you can see, whoever the creator of this blog is, they have serious issues.]

Now, it is not for certain whether this "kill" list was created out of pure envy of the people on that list [including myself, ahem], but anyone with a set of eyes in their head could see that it more than likely was. There has been much speculation as to whom actually was the envious person behind this wretched attack on innocent members on the Stardoll community, but most people guessed that it was none other than the scheming, cheating, fibbing specimen that is Aliandmiley. Yes, I am fully aware that she is only young, and that it may not have even been her, but the account that she is currently using is not even hers. She hacked someone out of it. Not only that, but she also shows signs of a compulsive liar with her various posts on the MSM owned blog, The Stardoll Voice, in which she constantly boasts about expensive items that she doesn't even own. She even steals the pictures she uses in her posts from websites that do not allow that.

Stardoll's 'kill' list is not the only example of where envy can be demonstrated on Stardoll.

There have been a number of incidents where graphics that had been hard worked on by talented digital artists had been stolen and then pasted their name across the top, as though it was their own.

As you can see, the graphics had been tweaked and vandalized to fit to 'Elite Stardoll's' liking. Although, they didn't do a very good job, as there are still marks of the writing behind the dolls in the first graphic and Tapstar321's watermark is still on the second one. These are not the only stolen graphics, there are quite a lot more on the Facebook page, although most have been taken down due to complaints by the original artists. Clearly, Elite Stardoll was envious of these people's graphics and decided that instead of practising and putting in effort to make their own graphics better, they stole other people's hard work. 

The person behind this Facebook account? None other than Stardoll's renowned Miss Stardoll World 2010 winner, Perilice2.

So, what are your opinions on Stardoll's many envious members? Surely we have all experienced some form of attack due to someone else being envious of us.

Miss Usa

Since 1952, Miss USA has been held annually; judging the contestants in swimsuit, gown, and interview. Though the judging standards are quite shallow in my opinion, the Miss USA winner, who goes on to compete in Miss Universe, is expected to be a role model for our impressionable youth.

While many Miss USA winners have did their best to uphold their role model responsibilities, others fell short. For example, Ex-Miss Usa winner, Rima Fakih. Rima competed in and won Miss Michigan in September of 2009. In 2010 she represented Michigan in the Miss USA pageant. Rima won the Miss USA crown in May of 2010. She became the first Miss Michigan USA winner since Kenya Moore, who won in 1993.

She's beautiful isn't she? Rima is believed to be not only the first Lebanese American, but also the first Arab American, and Muslim to win the Miss USA title. Unfortunately officials for the pageant released a statement saying that their records were not detailed enough to confirm these beliefs. Whatever the truth may be, winning a Miss USA crown is a big deal for anyone, right? 

Unfortunately for Rima, not even 24 hours after she was crowned, the media got a hold of a very scandalous photo of Rima dancing suggestively on a stripper pole. Nothing wrong with some harmless dancing, right? According to the media, Rima wasn't just dancing. She was taking part in a "Stripper 101" contest held by a radio station. What's even more eyebrow-raising? She won.

After the images were released, the radio station that hosted the contest released a statement in support of Rima, stating that "the photos taken from our website are no more provocative than those on the Miss USA website." Okay okay, everyone makes mistakes. And sometimes our past mistakes can come back to haunt us. Especially when we're in the spotlight. So we'll give her a free pass. 

Let's fast forward to the Miss Universe pageant, that Rima competed in, representing the USA. Unfortunately, Rima did not place as a semi-finalist. Which was somewhat of a shock, considering she was the first Miss USA winner since Shauntay Hinton(Miss USA 2002), to not place at the Miss Universe pageant.

Several months after the Miss Universe pageant, Rima was arrested for drunk driving in Michigan. According to police, she was driving at 60mph, weaving in and out of traffic when she was pulled over. 

After the arrest, she tweeted this:

Despite news reports, Rima denies being arrested. She even claims that she wasn't even in Michigan at the time. Sometime afterwards, she claims that she didn't post the tweet. Sometime after that, she appears on E! News, stating that she did in fact lie about being arrested. And she goes on to say that she was taking full responsibility for her actions. 

I don't know about you, but she doesn't seem like much of a role model to me. Sure we all lie from time to time. Hell, some of us lie all the time. So she's entitled to a few white lies. No one is perfect. She's even entitled to make some mistakes in her past, present, and future. But she didn't just lie, she lied about lying. And then has the audacity to say that she's taking full responsibility for her actions. Okay it's great that you're finally deciding to take responsibility for driving drunk. But are you also planning to take responsibility for lying? And then lying about lying?

Hypothetically speaking, if you had young children, specifically daughters, would you feel comfortable letting them watch the Miss USA pageants?

Do you think that Miss USA officials(as well as other pageant officials) should conduct more thorough background checks when selecting finalists? And do you think they should be more careful about who they choose to represent them?
