Top of the Hour News: Disney Taking Over Stardoll?

Hi Everyone!

It's me again. (Yes, I haven't been fired yet, contrary to what others are hoping for.) :-)

For the top of the hour news, It appears that everyone on Stardoll are up on their toes because of the news about Disneyland taking over and buying the website we all love. Stardoll.

If you will be taking this picture and apparent "confidential" letter sent to a very fortunate blogger seriously, then things are about to turn for the worst.

If the titles of Disneydoll, Disdoll, Stardisney or Princessdoll isn't horrible enough, then the theme of Disney Princesses might just get us all stuck in a world of a living nightmare.

As a person of reason and good judgment, I say that this letter is as FAKE as those knock-off designer bags a few Stardollians chose to sell on their Starbazaars:

1. It seems that this letter was sent by somebody who's working from Disney to the person who first uploaded the pic (hmmm... i wonder who she is and from which blog). If that's the case, Why the hell would Disney send a letter to someone who's got nothing to do with it? Out of friendship? WTF.

2. From the look of that picture, this is suppose to be an official communication released by Disney (look at the letter head).

If so, why aren't there any news about this on Google? Yeah, I know that it's suppose to be "confidential" but come on!!! They were able to leak hundreds of copies of Britney's song on youtube even before it was released so something as big as this couldn't be possibly held out of the news radar.

3. Read that letter. Go ahead, read it again.

Doesn't it appear to be too unprofessional for it to be written by someone who's suppose to be working for Disney?

For me, it looks like it was just written by an attention seeking blogger working for an attention seeking blog who's got tons of time in their hands to come up with something as fraudulent as this.

Wouldn't it be cool to track down the person behind this?

What do you all think?

_________________________________________________

On another news, have you visited people's sceneries lately?

I did.

And to my shock, not one scenery that used "manipulation" as a technique came out as it should.

Look at the popular sceneries of Miss Isabella:

Of Stardoll Supermodel Bluegreen86

 And of posing guru Liajm

Now I am well aware that there are a lot of modelling competitions runing out there.
Will the organizers postpone these contests first until this Technical Issue is resolved?

This is quite sad and I hope Stardoll fixes it. ASAP!

Another Stardoll-user-created magazine is set to make waves this 1st of February. I think their first spoiler is quite inviting.

If that got you curious enough, you can always go to the release party.
Here's the invite:

Will you go?

I will.

Why Are People Bashing People They Don't Know?

NOH8 has written about it.

10 reasons against gay marriage...

It seems that nothing has happened on Stardoll recently, no exciting new items or even news. Nothing. So to take a break from blogging about the happenings on Stardoll, I am going to enlighten you with some real-life issues...

Gay Rights.

I have been a long time supporter of gay rights; it is not someone's fault if they are attracted to another person that is of their own gender. There are many arguements to condemn gay people, and even the Bible criticises gays, but I do not share this view.

Here is something my friend sent me, it is this viral that went around quite a while ago but I recieved it again the other day:

1. Being gay is not natural. Real Americans always reject unnatural things glasses, polyester, and air conditioning.

2. Gay marriage will encourage people to be gay, in the same way that hanging around tall people will make you tall.

3. Legalizing gay marriage will open the door to all kinds of crazy behavior. People may even wish to marry their pets because a dog has legal standing and can sign a marriage contract.

4. Straight marriage has been around a long time and hasn't changed at all; women are still property, blacks still can't marry whites, and divorce is still illegal.

5. Spears' 55-hour just-for-fun marriage would be destroyed.

6.Straight marriages are valid because they produce children. Gay couples, infertile couples, and old people shouldn't be allowed to marry because our orphanages aren't full yet, and the world needs more children.

7. Obviously gay parents will raise gay children, since straight parents only raise straight children.

8. Gay marriage is not supported by religion. In a theocracy like ours, the values of one religion are imposed on the entire country. That's why we have only one religion in America.

9. Children can never succeed without a male and a female role model at home. That's why we as a society expressly forbid single parents to raise children.

10. Gay marriage will change the foundation of society; we could never adapt to new social norms. Just like we haven't adapted to cars, the service-sector economy, or longer life spans.

Are we not a civilised society?
Why do some of us treat our gay people as sub-humans?
Think about it.
xoxo

NOTE: This piece of text is SATIRICAL, if you do not understand what that means please do not write comments that criticise the text...otherwise that would be irony at it's best.

Who do I see...?

Who do I see when I look in the mirror? What a great question, isn’t it? Nowadays I do not know who I am. I feel like I am lost in between worlds, stardoll and real life. Somehow, I do not know what I wish to do either here or there. There are many decisions I have to take regarding school and my education but I am just not prepared to choose.

This task was a wake-up call. When I first saw it, I was like PERFECT, THAT’S THE PERFECT THING FOR THEM TO DO. I began to think, and who do I see? I couldn’t find the answer for this question, I started freaking out. Although I don’t think we have the best perception of who we are, I think we always describe who we wanted to be. That was what I started doing but finally realize, THIS IS NOT ME.

I encourage you to do this question to yourself; you are a blogger, writer or just a reader of this blog. Tell us who you are. Help me find myself.

Congratulations to the AWSOME 18 and Noelle and Isabella this contest is AMAZING.

'Blogging' Rights

I opted not to use my usual banner this time as i want the poster above to be the focus of this post.

Graphic design has become one of my very few outlets in such a short period of time.

I am always astounded as to how some combination of colors, textures and shapes can amount to something so magnificent and extraordinary.

And as you all know, another passion of mine is writing.

I am taken into a whole new dimension when I write. Through this, i am able to express feelings that may be too cheesy for some and even those that are too harsh for others if communicated through words.

In coming up with the MDM's Next Top Blogger competition, I have just planned to look for a new writer for this blog.

It's as simple as that.

Weeks of planning passed and finally it was time for the 18 finalists to go through their first challenge

...Little did i know that it will most likely become a first challenge for myself, the judges and you our dear followers instead.

When i read all the posts, i got lost for words... i am impressed beyond belief and i found myself bowing down to these 18 young souls.

The competition is far from over but i believe that as early as now, 18 blogging stars have just been born.

(Read what they've written here)

I know for a fact that when this competition comes to an end... or when a finalist gets eliminated, each and everyone of them (the winner included) will grow as bloggers or should i more appropriately say... writers.

There will be tons of opportunities coming and doors opening for them which brings me to address all the other blog owners out there.

In bringing two of my most favorite things together (graphic designing and blogging), I have resolved that the poster above will be a first in a series of graphic posters showcasing blog owners and their blogs, Stardoll writers amongst us and those people who are serving to be true inspirations to many (myself included) in this virtual world of ours.

Through this simple gesture, i am expressing my deepest gratitude to our followers and our media partners and affiliates.

...and to all my 18 MDMNTB girls, in or out of MDM, you are stars. You deserve the BEST. :)

Postscript:
4 new writers who happen to encompass all that i've mentioned above will be revealed through the Poster Series.

The first top blogger mail from Isabella has been opened!

Good luck to all of the 18 finalists!

Random Bits and Pieces

Hi everyone!

Perhaps many of you will ask if I am a new writer here at MDM.
Well, YES and NO.

Yes, from now on I will be writing here.
My posts mainly will be about Stardoll News, Partners and Affiliates Promotions, new things to check out and announcements that you might be interested about... and if I woke up at the wrong side of the bed, some random bitching on the side.

I will not be writing about spoilers and freebies!
To be stuck to that is one blog and blogger's nightmare.

No, I am not a new staff.

Maybe a lot of you can still remember me from those obnoxious guestbook messages I am leaving on your Stardoll pages to promote this blog.
Yes! That's me! LMAO!

_________________________________________________

Let me start off with the things from our media partners.

Have you already heard of Oxygen Network's The Bad Girls' Club?

Well, we have a Stardoll version coming up!

This is brought to us by no other than ElitesExposed herself, Aislin Victory.

I for one cannot wait to follow this project to see if Aislin can sustain the hype of this (I think she was unable to do that with her other blog elitesexposed.blogspot.com, which seemed to have lost its momentum too early on).

If you'll be asking me, this project has got promise. Click here to check it out!

On the other side of the fence though, Stardoll's Most Wanted owned by emorox4eva is brewing a project that promises to give exposure to thousands of Stardesigners out there.

Launch My Line is a competition that will have you design your own line of clothing (Spring / Summer collection) from the Stardesign and whoever comes up with the best collection wins.

The project includes a fashion show and if I am not mistaken some voting. This is a strong take on SFW but since it's giving more exposure to Stardesigners and the fact that all of us can buy the clothes makes it fair enough.

You just might as well check the project here too.

Speaking of Stardoll Fashion Week (SFW), Fashion group is again in search of a new face for Stardoll Fashion Week 2011.

Well, that's a good choice I believe.

The whole event is much too big for previous winner coconut_nicole.
She came out of nowhere and as expected, when last season's SFW ended, she faded into oblivion as well.

Fashion Group should be getting someone better this time.

_________________________________________________

Since we are already along that line of blog projects and The Fashion Group
(I do hope I can already announce this)...

that FG has recently expressed their interest in partnering with MDM's first grand competition MDM's Next Top Blogger.

This will be quite interesting to see how these very differet genres can be integrated into one.

Anyway, I am pretty sure Noelle and Becka will be coming up with something.

MDM's Next Top Blogger: Ready to Soar!

The wait is over and I wont prolong all of our agony anymore.

MDM's Next Top Blogger is now ready to soar!

The first ever battle amongst the best of the best is now here and I am so excited about it.

I have long been thinking of doing a competition that can really bring out the best in the contestants and entertain the audience at the same time...

and the overwhelming response I got when I called for some extra staff was more than enough answer. Reading the entries made me laugh, tear up... and laugh some more.

All the 18 finalists CAN write.

...and they will battle it out in writing until there's just one person standing.

The winner takes all as they say. And she sure would, with a 14-month superstar code, over 3,000 Stardollars in cash and a regular writing post here at MDM.

The 18 finalists would have to perform their tasks at www.mdmnexttopblogger.blogspot.com website.

Each week, 1 girl will be eliminated and the best post (based on your responses of course) will be published here at Stardoll's first ever lifestyle blog.

You will have to make the choice and I am relying on all of you to pick the best.

The rest of the MDM family will be the ones who will give out the tasks and they themselves would have to eventually weed the ultimate winner out with all of you.

4 more new MDM family members will be coming in.

You will get to know them as the weeks pass as they will be special guest judges throughout the competition as well.

They are the women I look up to and always wanted to be throughout my Stardoll existence.

They are strong forces to reckon with and I am damn proud to say they are all here.

Again, to all of you MDM followers...

Brace Yourselves.

Deleted Celebs

Everyone knows that stardoll is a site that features celebrities, and they add more and more of them every week.
There are Real Celeb accounts, celebrity dress up dolls and outfits that are inspired by them, but the thing that some of you may not know is that they not just add, they also delete celebrities.

Nowadays, who doesn't know Beyonce?
Everyone knows her except for the stardoll staff.
Why did I said this?
take a look below and try to find Beyonce's name:

I know, I can't find it either.
Well the truth is, the Beyonce doll is deleted a long time ago because of an unknown reason.

Now let's move on to the deleted Real Celebs.
Do you still remember the time when all of the pussycat doll members had a stardoll RC account?
how about Mary Kate and Ashley olsen's accounts?
Those RC accounts are now gone, and stardoll didn't even told us the reason why.

And then there's a little shop in the starplaza called the "celeboutique."

There are clothes, accessories and posters that are inspired by the celebrities.
The whole shop is gone now, but some items are still available to buy via search.

And now to my point.
I think there is a very serious reason why Stardoll deleted these celebrity things.
I have a feeling that Stardoll tried to use these celebrities without permission.
Stardoll just had a copyright infringement.

And according to wikipedia:

Stardoll always tells us that we shouldn't use other people's works and claim it to be ours.
and yes, i'm talking to you MIGLIUKEE! (just kidding!)
well then, why are they doing this?
Tell me your opinions
