Memoires Of A Medoll: Swan Song

Thank you Noelle for this opportunity.
For giving us all this opportunity.
Unfortunately, this blog was only meant to be in your control.
You are loved; admired by thousands.

Thank you to the dedicated readers who have stuck by MDM.
Through all the transformations, you have been here.
Thank you for that.

Thank you to all of the writers who still felt honored to be a part of MDM.
Even after it was no longer cared for by Noelle and Isabella.

__________

I have become tired of the hateful anonymous readers.
You never wanted to be satisfied.
You're content being miserable.
And therefore content with making everyone else miserable.
Writers became hesitant to post here because of you.

__________

I won't delete MDM.
There is too much history here.
However, all of the writers have been removed.
The option to comment here has also been removed.
MDM will become a memorial. Nothing more.

She might be your next door neighbor. His locker could be next to yours. She could be your sister. He might be your father. No matter how big or small of a part they play in your life, we all know someone who is overweight. More importantly, even if we have never witnessed it, we know that they are being teased. Someone is whispering about them on the bus, scoffing at them as they walk by, laughing and taunting them in front of their peers, or even psychically abusing them.

How often are they able are they able to escape the torture? Are they only persecuted at school and in public places, or are they receiving verbal and psychical punishment at home as well? Have they come to grips with their body or are they taking playing a part in the abuse that is being inflicted upon themselves? Might they starve themselves to become more "beautiful" or could they be eating their meals with a happy face only to vomit it into the toilet with tears running down their face.

No matter how many times you tell someone they are beautiful, if deep down they believe that their weight is an issue, whether they weigh 80 pounds or 300 pounds, saying "you're beautiful" is never enough. They still face that abuse; whether is be from others or self-inflicted.

The word beautiful does not play hostage to one definition. We all have different opinions of what beauty looks like to us. But no matter how we define it, it is never okay to toss stones at those things that don't feel beautiful to us. That only reflects how ugly you are.

Hey readers, I just wanted to give you a bit of an update on what has been going on behind the scenes here at MDM. First things first, I'd like to announce that we have added two permanent writers from the pool of trial writers. Those two writers are iswim19 and sarabear123. I want to thank all of those that participated in the trial writer series, and I look forward to having these girls become a part of the MDM family.

Secondly, I'd like to announce two existing segments here at MDM that will continue starting in November, as well as one new segment that will begin next week. Those existing segments are Haute Buys, which will be hosted by me. If you aren't aware of this awesome segment, I'll fill you in. Each month I'll select several items from the Hot Buys calender and MDM followers can submit an outfit they created into the Haute Buys competition. Winners receive stardollar prizes and a permanent memorial of their win on the Haute Buys page.

The second competition we will be continuing is the Scene & Heard competition. In this competition, you create a scenery based a theme. Winners for this competition also receive stardollar prizes as well as a memorial on the Scene & Heard page. This competition was previously hosted by MDM's own, Lia(liajm), but due to her busy schedule she will be unable to fulfill those duties. Anyone interested in hosting this competition that has experience with sceneries can contact me via dollmail.

Lastly, I'd like to introduce a new segment inspired by E!'s Fashion Police. This segment will premiere on MDM this coming Monday. Alongside me, we have some extraordinary commentators. Those include the glamorous and feisty, Linda(Elite-girl), the ever-elegant, Chris(sevillana94), and last but certainly not least, the grunge goddess herself, Khol(hollyoaksrocks*).

I hope you are all as excited about this as I am. If anyone has any suggestions they'd like to throw out there, let us know in the comment section.

Stardoll Moment Of The Week

I'd like to take some time to reflect on some of Stardoll's most memorable moments throughout history. Fierce (by Alice/ Hunnigall) was one of Stardoll's most famous magazines, and this edition circa December 2010 just glimpses on how beautiful and detailed the work they did was. This was one of my favorite editions of Fierce, enjoy everybody! What other magazines do you miss on Stardoll?

Until next time, Sierra.

Anonymous Commenting

Anonymous commenting has been reinstated. I do hope that during its absence everyone has taken a chance to really think about how it can affect our writers. And I do ask that in the future, if you are commenting anonymously, please take time to think before you post. It may be all fun and games for you, but it makes our writers very hesitant to post, as they are constantly worried about being degraded.

We do appreciate your comments, concerns, and constructive criticism. But please keep the nasty comments to yourself.
