Feature: Posh Magazine

Today's feature, Posh Magazine, owned by Chace Clark(Chace.clark)

Posh Magazine is new to the Stardoll Magazine scene. Yet by the looks of the debut issue, one wouldn't know. In fact, you might think that this dazzling magazine has been around for a while. That being due to the fact that the graphics are quite wonderful and Chace's attention to detail on wardrobe is annoyingly impressive.

The lovely Rihanna(alexcendraburke) strikes a very sexy pose on the cover of Posh's first issue. Wearing an immaculate bikini created by none other than Chace himself.  This was quite possibly my favorite look of the magazine, simply because of all the details that are embellished on the bikini. In fact I zoomed in on the cover in hopes of discovering just how Chace managed to add so much detail without causing the image to look sloppy. Kudos to Chace.

As I scan through the rest of the magazine I notice that Chace's attention to detail doesn't stop at the cover. It carries on throughout the entire magazine. This left me wowed and impressed. Of all the new magazines I have seen, I have never noticed other designers putting that much detail to their looks. And while some may think it doesn't matter, and they can simply get away with a plain outfit, you're wrong. Stardoll Magazine readers long for graphics that are sometimes far beyond a designer's capabilities. And I think that Chace hit the nail right on the head with wardrobe.

Moving right along, the articles are fun, colorful and hands on. From an article full of color to braids galore, Chace did a great job of keeping the audience interested. I learned quite a few things from his how-to on braiding and he even showed us all how to properly wear bright colors without looking like a walking replica of a rainbow. Though for the next issue, I am hoping for even more articles!

In conclusion, Chace has really set the bar high for new magazines. And reaching the level of success Posh has gained through its first issue isn't going to be easy for newcomers. I can honestly say I am ecstatic about the next issue. Keep up the good work, Chace!

Another Bites The Dust?

UGH! Why the hell did I wake up at 8 o'clock in the morning?! :(

But anyway.. just now before I started writing this post, I found out that one of our own, making it the 3rd writer here at MDM, is 'leaving' Stardoll. Which is our lovely Kylie(missricopenguin).

Here is Kylie's going away message she left on her very own blog 'Editorialized' which for now is without a owner until she gives it to someone. But this is what she had to say.

"Goodbye.

There's an odd sense of finality about writing your last post on a blog. I suppose it makes sense though, doesn't it?

I'm leaving Stardoll, I think I mentally decided this yesterday during English. It's been on my mind for a while, and I thought maybe Editorialized's Next Top Model or this blog would keep me here longer. It didn't.

I love dressing up, I love fashion and photography and I love being creative on this site. But to be honest I just feel like an idiot being here. And yeah, I've had some good times, but I'm a fifteen year old girl who spends her time and money on a website originally intended for 10 year olds. I can't believe that I used to care about being popular on this website. I can't believe I actually wanted to be famous on Stardoll.

As of right now, I will no longer be an active member in this community. I'm moving on and I don't want to look back.

As for this blog and the Next Top Model competition, I do want these to continue! To Lia, Linus and Maggie (or maybe even someone else), if you want to take over this blog and/or the comp tell me and I'll pass over ownership to you. :)

I had some good times, but Stardoll is boring and idiotic and I have better things to do.

I love all my friends so much, you know who you are: Maggie, Electra, Lia, Linus, Paulina, Nicole, Zoe, Vasia, Maria, Eva, Ruthie, Aba, Mary, Eva, Ashton, Noelle, Coco, Mary Kate, Ashley, and anyone else, love you so much <3 You're part of the reason I was actually here so long.

I'll log in every once and a while, but you can always find me on tumblr.

xoxox"
Personally, I am a BIT saddened by it, its not fun one Stardoll when someone interesting and as lovely as she is decides to kick the bucket(on Stardoll). But whatever, the way the message was laced it made me think she would come back since she said she MIGHT visit, so its not the overly dramtic exit where she deleted her account and such. But still, its obvious that she is one of the others who just deem this website 'stupid.'

But also on her leave, she is now the 4th Stardoll member in our Dollywood world to leave just this month (Lolita[Miss_LolitaF], Emily[Pirata1111], and Reece[mizzmileycyrus9]*), and the second MDM writer, like stated before, to abandon ship! Crazy..

Which makes me think, is it a new trend to dump Stardoll? I mean really, I know A LOT of people who are willing to leave if they deem Stardoll 'the biggest shit of time', and that only due to friends, the fashion, or even just the blogging, that thats the only reason they stay. And I am also one of those people.

I mean really, like Kylie said, I love dressing up my little dollie too, its fun! But the superficial part of it IS kinda insane. I mean really, now to think of it..

  • Lolita left because of not enough fun, a.k.a. no drama or gossip.
  • Emily left because of how it made her vain.
  • Reece* left because he was tired of being bullied and because he didn't want to be talked about again.
  • And now Kylie is leaving because of how she thinks its vain or immature how the Dollywood lifestyle is.
Well on that note, all I will say is adios! Have a good life Kylie!

Love, Dei

Slice of Life

Usually I post about Stardoll related subjects here. But today I am posting about an experience I had in real life, recently.

A few days ago after I left work, I came home to change out of my chef coat and pants, as well as to get a shower. After my shower, I dressed for the hot weather in a tank top and a pair of skinny jeans.  Then I got in my car and drove to the mall for some retail therapy. Upon arrival, I window shopped for a while and bought a few things I have had my eye on for a while. Before heading back home to relax, I decided to make a pit stop at a great pretzel shop in my mall. After I had my pretzel, I sat down and enjoyed it while I checked some emails on my phone. When I was preparing to clean up my table and leave, a woman about the age of forty approached me. There aren't many reasons I could think of as to why someone I didn't know would approach me, especially someone like this woman. She was with a friend of about the same age. And when I acknowledged her, she simply gave me a dirty look and said that I should be ashamed of myself. Quite confused I asked what she was talking about. She then gave me a look-over and told me that I was going straight to Hell for marking my body with tattoos. And that I had been infected with Satan's ink. I don't believe in God, so I wasn't particularly worried about going to Hell or being infected. However, I was quite offended that some woman that I didn't know, who also didn't know me would have the audacity to approach me in public and criticize me for the choices I make.

I have eight tattoos. All of which I treasure. And one in which I had done as a memorial to my mother. The idea that this woman would feel the need to "damn" me to the fiery depths of Hell really pissed me off. She went as far as to say that my mother should have raised me better. With that comment I became enraged. And before I could stop myself, I dove into a rant about how I didn't believe that God existed, and that if he did, she would surely being going to Hell with me because her attitude stank like million-year-old dinosaur shit. And that if she spoke negatively about my mother once more I was going to rip her heart out and shove it up her ass. Of course this only makes her think even less of me than she already did. Not to mention, by this time, the mall security was heading my way. And when I tried to explain to him why I was so angry, he escorted me out of the mall. By the time I got to my car I was plotting my vengeance on that evil woman.

Today, I woke up and got to work by 4am, like I usually do. The staff and I began to prepare breakfast for the hotel guests. But by the time everything was ready, our waiters and waitresses were still in a meeting with management about proper customer service. So the kitchen staff and myself had to deliver the meals to our guests. And as I walked into the dining area, I saw the woman from the mall. My heart began to race, and I wondered that if she noticed me, would she try to get me fired from my job. I was so nervous that I almost turned around and went back into the kitchen. And then the idea that she would try to get me fired really pissed me off. So instead of going back into the kitchen I kept walking towards her table. When I got there and she noticed me, her eyes went wide, and I had a right mind to shove the plate of food in her face. But instead, I pretended like I didn't know her. I set her food down and went back to my job.

I hope to never see that woman again. Not only do I hate the very idea of her existence, I hate the idea that people have the nerve and pretentious mindset to deem what's right and wrong in this world. And I despise the idea of someone passing judgment on someone they don't know. Most people associate the idea of tattoos and piercings with rebellious behavior. Yet that doesn't always ring true. In two years I will be a college graduate. I have always had a steady job. I have good morals and character. And for the most part, I have always been a pretty decent person. My tattoos aren't a reflection of rebellion. They are a reflection of beauty.

Have you ever had someone judge you before they got to know you?
How did you react?

New Modeling Opportunity! Too Good To Be True?

Hey guys! I am back again with another modeling opportunity! But is it truthful?
When I was wondering around blogs, in a comment section on Perez Hilton of Stardoll I saw this anon comment that caught my eye.

So when I pasted the link, I saw this photo:
http://i.imgur.com/JGcIs.png

The photo shows the prizes being pretty much a new closet filled with LE, Antidote, DKNY, HotBuys, Rares, a RealCeleb clothing item, and said to even have more than that! In addition to 700 Stardollars and 500 Starcoins!

Now THAT'S a good prize, but.. is it true? I mean really, I am sure a lot of members already have all of those things listed above, but does it mean they will give it up for prizes? I think, hell no.

So then I just ignore this and go about my blogging ways and I saw a post on the ICON Agency blog, and guess what I see? This!

https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhBpzTxVorriAfuuPIrRtUcFc0_3uxR5VujhCN4a6foMgl4Eb2I5l695mWirrlXkB2kYijyftb5iXBa0JwU833aErFYPg557pDmCFu3fpUjQEVwgghNemxfX_UY5HzN7KuiHrb9iEmRfEUe/s1600/bamfff.jpg

A different graphic? Huh, odd, right? But instead this one takes away the whole bit about DKNY, HotBuys, LE, and et cetra. By the looks of it the first one and this newer one must be from the same person, but maybe they aren't so willing to give up their precious items?

BUT, when I visited the club, it indeed told me in fact that she IS giving all that was listed above, as well a new Superstar subscription. So this IS the prize of a Stardoll lifetime!

But anywho, this post is to post about new and great modeling opportunities!

So if you want to audition for 'Audrey's Next Top Model', owned by audreyxbeth, then click HERE for the club, and click HERE to visit the blog!

Response to “Missing Gossip”

First off all, I am so happy today I am 15. Happy Birthday to me :D

I would like to clear some stuff. First to xxlovexx / Kimberly:

I did not say you were sad I am sorry if it was seen that way. I don’t know you so I wouldn’t call you such a thing. The act itself is. I showed the picture from your post but there were many others in many other blogs including this one. It was random. “Okay, honestly, this is only a self-made virtual world. It's not like we're being bullied in real life or something.” I didn’t talk about real life. There is Cyber-bullying it happens right here in virtual worlds. It’s real, it exists, it has consequences. I am not saying people should stop posting gossip (I would prefer, I am okay with having it or not having it.) I am just saying like you said “Thing is though, everyone wants gossip”. Like your saying that is the problem.

I am happy many People agreed with me. This shows that we may have hope. Here are some of the more positive comments:

“No negative things to say?? then you just have to find the positive ones. Maybe the drama era just died and me finally grew up. Maybe we should start looking for something else. Stardoll isn't about gossip only. I think that this is the right moment to turn it in something better for everyone to enjoy ;)”

I agree. Here, here.

“No negative things, no fights, no scandals.. Shall we not be happy & enjoy that nothing mean longer exists in our community? Hip hooray! We're all nice.”

Again I completely agree.

Do you enjoy my post now? What shall I do more? Answer my questions to help make better posts.

11 Year Old Stripper On Stardoll? OrginalClub Scandal?!

So a little birdy told me that OriginalClub, considered Stardoll's very first club, is having a huge scandal right about now.

What I have been told is that pretty much something happened or someone did something to someone, I don't really know since I hardly use clubs like OriginalClub or FashionClub. BUT, the rumor is that a girl took screen shots of SOMETHING, I don't know what, but showed it to her parents and they took it too the police which lead them also contact Stardoll about the shenanigans.

Though I think the rumors are bogus, but I actually see it. I mean really, we hardly ever see Stardoll shut down clubs, but wait, they didn't close it down, they are 'investigating' it. Hmm.. Something just isn't right with this picture.

And with that being said, I go around 'investigating' for myself to see if I can see what went down for Stardoll to 'possibly' have a chance at getting into another issue.

So first I look around for OriginalClub. And so I see Stardoll in fact STILL has OC running, BUT it is unavailable until further notice.

(I hope I spelled Original right..)
And then so, after I see that, then I see this on the side of the main 'Clubs' page on Stardoll.

A brand new OC with the exact same name, apparently, the members are just so dedicated to it and pissed by Stardoll, they decide to not wait for Stardoll to reopen the club and create their own!

So then after seeing this club, I wanted to see how fast the news about OC spread and if I could find out what happened, so I go to the next frequent and equally insane club, FashionClub, and I just gaze around discussion to see if they will talk about it, and this one caught my eye first.

At first I thought it was a mere troll hating on younger members, but then I notice that intriguing comment below hers. And here a more comments I found further explaining the situation.

So.. pretty much, what I can see is that... (re-writing the story I told earlier) rumor has it that an 11 year old user on Stardoll called..
Is a frequent user of Tinychat and links people of Stardoll to her Tinychat shows of her, and one time when she was on webcam, she proceeded to strip off all of her clothes and somebody apparently called the police on her little show and someone took screenshots apparently as well. And so Stardoll and the parents of this 11 year old are being looked at for this.

The situation itself is completely outrageous if you ask me. But eh, I am speechless for once about something other than explaining it, haha.

So what do YOU guys think about all of this?

Love, Dei

Missing Gossip

As many say there’s nothing interesting to do in Dollywood. There’s no gossip. Everyone is looking for gossip. Some are leaving because stardoll is boring stardoll lacks gossip.

To me this is a little sad to hear read. Unfortunately people here only care about others disgrace and malaise because that’s what GOSSIP causes. This happens unconsciously but it happens frequently which worries me.

You can see above and I quote "we're at a total gossip stand still." I understand that Gossip blogs are only active when there is gossip and Gossip blogs only exist if there is gossip. It’s just that the readers are so involved and so kind of addicted to this. Those people only entertainment is Gossip.

This is even worse. You can read “There are no scandals, sissy fights and negative things…”. I almost can’t believe how she expressed herself this, for me, is even more serious. What if the gossip was towards you what if something negative happened to you? Would you like to be exposed?

Often to finish this "gossip stand still" we see lies, some big scandal. It’s just not right. What if the Gossip was towards you? You probably wouldn’t think the same way.
