Stardoll Boys: Are they being discriminated?

Stardoll is an online site where ANYONE can express who they are and be who they want to be.
When I say anyone, i mean any gender, male or female, and I know Stardoll agrees with me about that, but have you seen the frontpage of stardoll before you log in?

This image is located at the upper left corner on the Stardoll front page. I think there's something wrong with this picture, it says "online fashion and games community for GIRLS." Is this website only for girls? of course not! they offer male me-dolls too. Maybe this front page image has an error or something.

The image isn't the only one that has an error, but also the starplaza shops. There are only a few choices of clothes for male me-dolls in the starplaza and the worst part is, there are no male clothes in real brands and Limited Editions. Is Stardoll forgetting that males have good fashion sense too? or they're just lazy to create clothes for boys?

Members of this site are also being unfair to our stardoll boys, I saw these comments in Tylerisbold's guestbook:

hmmmmm.... let me reply to these comments for you, Tyler.
To the girl: Boys know a lot about fashion, there are so many male fashion designers out there. Try reading fashion magazines!
To the Boy: Like I wrote earlier, there are only a few number of male clothes in the starplaza, and it's creative to create a male clothing out of the girly ones.

Everyone should have equality in Stardoll, if Stardoll can't manage to create this equality, then maybe we can.
Let's admit it, the Stardoll boys play an important role in this site, so we should treat them well.
Love you boys! :D

  1. God yet another incessant rant, but this time from someone who definitely can't write, even if they were to save their poor little life.

Stardoll doesn't have many male users at all, probaby not even 0.01% are male. The huge majority are female so why should Stardoll waste thousands of pounds designing clothes for maybe not even 500 males, most aren't even superstar. Females dominate the site and there are barely any guys that PAY and play. Most gus who play here are gay anyway, so I guess that is why...being labeled gay isn't what many want when they aren't.

Stacey I'm suprised that you haven't advertised yourself again, but provided us with an extremely shitty post.

A thousand thank yous from the bottom of my heart for making me read your rubbish nd worthless writing.

    The excruciating pain.

  2. Hmmm... I agree.

Although there aren't as many boys on Stardoll as girls, I think Stardoll can add a extra shop or two. As for LE, one outfit would be enough to statisfy the boys

Stardoll could make a bigger effort, actually TALKING about boys on the frontpage and actually make clubs for boys... hey! Maybe even a boys only club...

    Just a thought.

@ Anon: Whatever. No one cares.

  3. No Stacey is not a shit writer. She IS a shit writer. Her style of writing is clumsy and poor, grammar usage is inadequate. Many have said to fire the dumb shit, her space could be replaced with someone more interesting and way more intelligent (whic isn't difficult as she is so stupid).

Her posts are about as exciting as my unused tampon.

  4. Damn, How How Come Anon's Are Always So Mature And Brave?

Anyway, Great Post! I Agree With You, Boys Should Be Equal With Girls, On Stardoll. Oh, And For The Anon Once Again; You've Never Thought The Thought That They Don't PAY And Play, Because There's Nothing For Them To Play With? Hmm..

    Love

No dear stardoll is for girls only .. as you can see if you go to the tab of "help" and go to see information for parents you will see that it's for girls and why do you think it's named cover"GIRL" not any other name ? even when boy win CB they still name him girl ... also what about the pink and purple color of the site it self ??...and what about the fact that there's just 3 if not less shops for boys ... ?? come on lets face it by the way dear stacy i truly like the post :) it's quite nice one that's only my option kaaii hope to see more of your amazing posts

  8. I am guessing stardoll is taking by the majority of its users whom are girls but that does not mean boys aren't existing either but I am guessing its in a much lesser quantity! Anyway, I think that its nothing to be ashamed of, a guy who loves fashion or is into dress ups, I mean all these men designers out there started someplace when they were young, just like they started somewhere, some of the guys on stardoll started on the stardoll site ;D

  9. I think most female designers suck.
Christian Dior, Dolce and Gabana, Chanel, McQueen(Well, was) Balmain, Gareth Pugh, etc. I don't think DKNY or Miss Sixty or Baby Phat can top them up.

  10. hhm, interesting post! Although there are more girls on sd than guys, ppl should not descriminate against them (:

@anon: if you're in so much "pain" why do you even read it. Get a life.

  11. I dont agree with Wooldor, there a LOT of awesome female designers!! Stella McCartney, Tamara Mellon (from Jimmy Choo), Carolina Herrera, Georgina Chapman (from Marchesa), Luella, Diane VonFurstenberg, Vera Wang, Missoni, Donatella Versace...
I think that compare Miss Sixty with Alexander McQueen don't make any sense:S

Anyway, stardoll its just a business, and boys dont give money, they are just a tiny part of the almost 90 millions of users that we are.
Oh, and I remember a few boy clothes on the first Antidote collection, and they weren't sold during weeks!! :S

You are an amazing writier, and I agree with you 100% that Stardoll is for boys too. So maybe they should change that.

  14. I agree. Me myself get discriminated. I won NCB and some girl was saying "I'm sorry but there is NO such thing as NCB its NCG" Then I proved her wrong and she called me a fag and a tranny.

    @Anonymous:

The exact boy population is like about 4% according to some site. But I bet all are girls making fake accounts to make fun of people.
