She might be your next door neighbor. His locker could be next to yours. She could be your sister. He might be your father. No matter how big or small of a part they play in your life, we all know someone who is overweight. More importantly, even if we have never witnessed it, we know that they are being teased. Someone is whispering about them on the bus, scoffing at them as they walk by, laughing and taunting them in front of their peers, or even psychically abusing them.

How often are they able are they able to escape the torture? Are they only persecuted at school and in public places, or are they receiving verbal and psychical punishment at home as well? Have they come to grips with their body or are they taking playing a part in the abuse that is being inflicted upon themselves? Might they starve themselves to become more "beautiful" or could they be eating their meals with a happy face only to vomit it into the toilet with tears running down their face.

No matter how many times you tell someone they are beautiful, if deep down they believe that their weight is an issue, whether they weigh 80 pounds or 300 pounds, saying "you're beautiful" is never enough. They still face that abuse; whether is be from others or self-inflicted.

The word beautiful does not play hostage to one definition. We all have different opinions of what beauty looks like to us. But no matter how we define it, it is never okay to toss stones at those things that don't feel beautiful to us. That only reflects how ugly you are.

  7. This post kind of makes out that if you're overweight, you're definitely going to be bullied, or that you should expect to be. I don't think that's really the case for most people :L

  9. This was a great inspirational post, like Lindsey said. I don't feel miserable at all. Instead, I feel a tad more enlightened and aware of the world around me. And in a place like this that is very much needed.

(to the 'omg thiz is grim reaper madness!!' people) Instead of automatically grasping the negativeness that is pointed out by other anonymous people, why don't you find the light in the post that has been written? Really, you're just as much as a Virtual Grim Reaper as you're pointing out Aislin to be.

And to ♥Rosie♥, they aren't going to be directly bullied; but when someone is more heavyset than the average person, there's always the horrible talk about them behind their backs or right in front of them. We wish there could be a loophole in the whole bullying thing, but there's not.

And it would be really convenient if the anonymous commentators actually didn't abuse their privilege for once.

  11. Great post, this really points out that we never ever should laugh at someone who is overweight or doesn't look "beautiful" to us.
But next time please write a headline!

  12. To the anon that keeps badgering me to spend time with my husband: He cheated on me not long after we got married. Needless to say, we aren't together anymore. That isn't really something that I wanted to share here.

Also, I spend a lot of time contributing my writing to real life. And again, I don't like to share my personal life here, on Stardoll and in the Stardoll blogging world. I just want you to understand these things so that you don't have to repeat the same thing to me, over and over again.

To everyone else: I'm sorry that you don't like me. I'm sorry that you've become irritated with this blog. I'm sorry that you feel the need to demean me. But the reality is, you don't have to. You don't have to read this blog. You don't have to follow it. You also don't have to acknowledge my presence. If you're so displeased with me and everything about MDM, just leave. Maybe that way you can start enjoying something that you actually do like.

I don't mind your constructive criticism, as long as your intentions are set on actually improving the blog. My apologies for forgetting to title my posts. It won't happen again in the future.

  13. We're only "displeased" with you NOT MDM, the blog actually used to be exciting....until you came along. So fuck off.

As for your husband, maybe it's karma for your immature antics bitch!!

  14. I WOULD CHEAT ON YOU TOO IF I REALIZED MY WIFE WAS A STUCK UP, IMMATURE, ALWAYS MISERABLE LOSER. I FIND IT FUNNY HOW YOU CLAIM TO NOT LIKE SHARING INFO FROM YOUR "PERSONAL" LIFE, YET YOU WOULD ALWAYS POSTS ABOUT YOUR LIFE ON YOUR PRESENTATION. SO DON'T BE MOPING AROUND LIKE A FUCKING CRY-BABY. I DON'T FEEL SORRY FOR YOU. YOU DESERVE EVERY TERRIBLE THING COMING TO YOU!

GROW UP AND LET THE KIDS ON THIS SITE HAVE SOME ACTUAL FUN WITH ENJOYABLE POSTS!!

  15. Why are you guys all so mean? She made a mistake and it was immature -- but there's no need to keep insulting her. Great post btw

  17. To the anonymous pig who just happens to contain no heart:

Saying things like that to Aislin is just beyond rude, it's disgusting. I am shocked to see that people will go as far as saying it's 'Karma' or anything of the sort. Downright repulsive. I really hope the "karma" that was supposedly delivered to Aislin hits you right back in the face.

Do you people not learn? Do you not learn from the several tens of posts discussing bullying and verbal abbuse? Because then I applaud you for having your heads filled with clay, or something like that.

if you're asking for "good", "happy" posts with that kind of attitude, I really hope that that kind of wish isn't attended to. I will read the posts on this blog, even if each one needs to be accompanied by a box of tissues, and I'm sure the true readers will enjoy and take the time to decipher the meaning of every post delivered to them.
